Lindsay (Fox) Stacy Co-Owner of The Dance Movement teamed up with Canton Country Day in 2021. She began her dance training at four years old, studying all styles of dance in the northeast Ohio area from the late Richard Moore. She began to appear on the community theatre circuit by the age of seven, perfecting her talent as a triple threat scoring lead roles in plays and musicals at venues like the Canton Players Guild and the Weathervane Community Playhouse. Lindsay trained with some of the top teachers in the U.S. including Tom Smith from the Martha Graham Company, and Broadway native, Mary Ann Black, as well as Inna Strabova, Dmitry Tublotzev, and Dee Hillier. Lindsay has performed competitively and professionally all over the United States, and has done televised works for Nickelodeon Studios and WKYC Productions.
By the age of 17, Lindsay began teaching her own classes all over Ohio, and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations and Dance Performance from the University of Akron. After college, Lindsay was the dance department director at Solon Center for the Arts in Solon, Ohio. Lindsay has choreographed for many competitive dance teams all over the U.S., as well as high school choirs, ensembles, and special musical performance. She has been recognized for her choreographic achievement, as well as her coaching skills in the past, and she continues to excel with her students’ ongoing successes. Lindsay was the dance instructor in the arts department at S.C.O.P.E. Academy, a charter school in Springfield, Ohio. She was also the choreographer for the musical theatre department at Green High School. Lindsay continues to stay on top of her education with frequent trips to New York City to take class at The Broadway Dance Center, a place she has studied often since she was 13 years old. She attends local and national dance conventions with her students, taking all the classes she can to keep up with the ever-changing amazing world of dance.
Miss Lindsay currently resides in Canal Fulton with her husband and her kids.
